Degradação ambiental provocado pelo lixão no Município de Livramento/PB

Abstract

Tre great in the production of solid waste by the individual has provoked a great discussion about the final resignation of these materials. Even with the presence of Public Environmental Policies that show the appropriate place for the deposition and appropriate separation for such waste, the vast majority of them are placed incorrectly in open-air dumps, causing numerous damages to the population, such as the creation of a favorable environment the spread of numerous diseases and major consequences to the environment in which they are inserted. Therefore, this study was carried out with the purpose of pointing out the seriousness of the problems caused by this environmental and, as a general objective, to present the different ways of degradation of environmental impacts in the dump, in the urban area of the Livramento/PB, which the agglomerate of garbage has been causing to the place. It was used as s work methodology the analysis of data obtained through bibliographical research that facilitate the obtaining of relative information data on the environmental degradation of the locality going to “in loco” and asking the residents and the secretary of the researched area. Some data on the closure of the landfill such as LIMA, solid urban waste from SANTOS, among others, were used. The results showed us the main social and environmental problems that human beings can cause.
