Economia solidária enquanto contradição ou alternativa à economia vigente : um estudo de caso sobre a feirinha da agricultura familiar - Patos/PB

Abstract

The solidarity economy was born from critical thinking about the deficiencies brought about by the capitalist model, which, due to its predatory and profit-oriented nature, threatened ecosystems, deepened inequalities and led entire societies to social collapse. In response to this, the solidarity economy presents a humanist conception, which replaces profit with the appreciation of the human being, competition with solidarity and the discrepancy between classes, with an egalitarian society. Based on this comparison between discordant economic models, the present work aims to analyze the solidarity economy as a contradiction or alternative to the current economy, taking as its object of study the family farming fair in Patos-PB. To achieve the aforementioned objective, an interview script was used described in a descriptive level research, exploratory in nature and with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Therefore, it was concluded that the family farming fair in Patos-PB, as a solidarity enterprise, is characterized as a contradiction to the current economy. However, there is a lack of action on the part of public authorities for better development.
