dc.description.abstract Young People, Adults and Elderly (EJAI) available in the Digital Library of Brazilian Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). |At a macro level, we sought to explore how Ethnomathematics, based on the cultural knowledge and social practices of different communities, can be applied in the education of older people (IPs) to promote a more inclusive and meaningful education, taking advantage of students' prior knowledge elderly people. The study adopted a qualitative approach, describing trends, attitudes and social questions related to mathematical knowledge in IPs' school knowledge and practices, based on the analyzes carried out. Initially, the search in BDTD, using the keywords 'Etnomathematics' and 'EJA' identified 20 works over 21 years, between 2002 and 2022, noting the duplication of two works and incompatibility of nine others in relation to adherence to education, especially in the teaching spectrum. In the second stage, among the eleven productions considered pertinent to the analysis proposal in the course conclusion work (TCC), it was noticed that many explored the relationships between which Ubiratan D'Ambrósio (1996) points out as Ethnomathematic practices versus proposals for numeracy, as well as research and experiences of/with EJAI students. Therefore, in this tabulation we can highlight the relevance of the Ethnomathematics program in the education of PIs and its effective application in the EJAI teaching process, which takes advantage of the biopsychosocial, historical and cultural background of the experiences of elderly students. pt_BR
